刘震云，1958年生于河南延津县。1982年北京大学中文系毕业。曾创作长篇小说《故乡天下黄花》《故乡相处流传》《故乡面和花朵》（四卷）《一腔废话》《手机》等；中短篇小说《塔铺》《新兵连》《单位》《一地鸡毛》《温故一九四二》等。作品多次获奖、被评介、改编和翻译。
